Aisles Of The Locust Maintenance Corridors: Entry, Final Chase, and Exit
How to open Aisles Of The Locust's maintenance corridors, survive the scripted final-corridor chase, and slide past the loading dock security gate to finish your escape.
The maintenance corridors are the back-area stretch that carries you from the staff door to the end of the escape. The short version: bring the staff access card back to the locked staff door and use it to override the electronic lock — that opens the corridors. From there the run is three segments: the corridors themselves, a final corridor whose entry triggers a scripted chase through collapsing hallways, and a finish at the loading dock, where you slide past the closing security gate.
The catch is that the last corridor punishes doubt. The chase is scripted and fast, and hesitating mid-chase to figure out where to turn is the most common way to get caught at the very end. The stages below are fixed; the turns between them are yours to learn before you commit.
Getting in: the staff door override
Sooner or later the run puts you in front of a locked staff entrance that needs a specific item — and once the Locust shows up, that door becomes your next real objective. The item is the staff access card. Use it on the staff door to override the electronic lock, and the maintenance corridors open; that doorway is the entrance into the back area.
The card itself — where it sits and how to grab it while the Locust's patrol is away — is covered in the staff area guide. Past this door, you're in the corridors.
The corridor route, stage by stage
| Stage | What you do | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Use the staff access card on the locked staff door | The electronic lock is overridden and the maintenance corridors open |
| The corridors | Move through the back hallways toward the final corridor | This is the stretch you learn in advance — by the time the chase starts, you already need to know where you're running |
| Final corridor | Enter the last corridor | A scripted chase begins: the Locust pursues you through collapsing hallways |
| Finish | Slide past the closing security gate at the loading dock | The run ends |
That middle row is the honest shape of this leg of the run. There is no safe way to work out the route while the chase is on your heels — the game's design is that you arrive at the final corridor already confident in the layout, whether that confidence comes from a cautious first pass through the back rooms or the store map. Entering that corridor before you have it is one of the run's classic mistakes.
Surviving the final-corridor chase
Two rules decide this section:
- Know the route before you enter. The chase starts the instant you step into the last corridor, it's fast, and the collapsing hallways leave no room to stop and read the layout. Hesitating mid-chase to figure out where to turn is the most common way to get caught at the very end of an otherwise clean run.
- Kill the flashlight when the Locust is near. It tracks by sight and light exposure, and your flashlight is how it spots you in the first place. Turn it off whenever the Locust is close, and don't leave it on out of habit — battery life matters this late in the run.
The enemy side of this is covered in the Locust guide, and the flashlight page covers the light itself.
The finish: the loading dock gate
The corridor sequence ends at the loading dock. The security gate is closing as you get there — slide past it and the run is complete. There's nothing to collect or turn in afterward; passing that gate is the escape.
When you're closing in on that final stretch, the final chase walkthrough and the loading dock guide pick up where the corridors leave off.
