Aisles Of The Locust Access Card: Location and How to Use It
The Aisles Of The Locust access card is hidden behind the customer service desk on the main retail floor. Time the pickup around the Locust's patrol, then use it to override the locked staff entrance.
The access card in Aisles Of The Locust is hidden behind the customer service desk on the main retail floor. It's the staff key the whole run centers on: pick it up during a gap in the Locust's patrol, carry it back to the locked staff entrance, and use it to override that door's electronic lock. The back rooms and maintenance corridors it opens lead toward the final corridor chase and the loading dock escape. The tricky part is the pickup itself — the desk sits in a corridor the Locust's patrol regularly passes through.
Where to find the access card
You spawn outside a dilapidated supermarket. Head through the front sliding doors into the lobby, which is scattered with overturned carts and debris, then work through the retail floor: shelves, overturned display cases, and checkout lanes. Past the produce section the store gets noticeably darker — this is where your flashlight starts actually draining, so run it in short bursts rather than leaving it on.
The pickup comes right after that stretch. The card is tucked behind the customer service desk, and the desk itself is the landmark that identifies the spot. You may see the item called the staff key — it's the same progression item either way.
While you search, avoid lingering in spots that feel like they'd trigger a reaction: high-vibration areas can set off environmental traps.
How to grab the card without being spotted
Before committing to the customer service desk, track the Locust's patrol. The monster hunts by sight and light exposure, so forcing the grab usually goes badly:
- Time your approach for when the patrol has moved away from the desk's corridor — don't grab the card while the Locust's loop is still covering it.
- Keep the flashlight off near the desk and whenever the Locust is close; your light is how it spots you.
- Use the shelving units as cover instead of trying to outrun a sight-based hunter in the open.
- Skip sprinting the main central corridor when you can — it's the most exposed path in the store and hands the Locust a clean line of sight.
Played this way, the pickup is very manageable. A careful first run takes around ten minutes once you know the store layout, and the difficulty sits closer to medium than hardcore.
Which door uses the access card
The card's destination is the locked staff entrance you hit after the deep aisles — a staff door that needs a specific item to open. In the run's order, it becomes your next real objective once the Locust shows up. Bring the card back to the staff door to override the electronic lock; that's what opens the staff back rooms and the maintenance corridors beyond.
There's no way around this item, either: progress in Aisles of the Locust comes from finding the access card and making it through the chase that follows, so the escape route runs through this door.
What opens after the staff door
Overriding the electronic lock opens the staff back rooms and the maintenance corridors. Follow them until you reach the last corridor — entering it triggers a scripted chase, with the Locust pursuing you through collapsing hallways. The chase is fast, so know where you're running before you step in; hesitating mid-chase to figure out where to turn is the most common way to get caught at the very end.
Survive it and the run ends at the loading dock: slide past the closing security gate to finish your escape.
Once the staff door is open you're past the midpoint of the run — the staff area is what you step into, and the full walkthrough follows every step from the parking lot to the loading dock if you want the whole route in one place.
One caveat: Aisles of the Locust launched in mid-September 2026, so a patch could shift item placement or gate requirements — if the desk or staff door doesn't match what you're seeing, check the updates page and re-check the spot in game.
